Bitstamp, a leading digital currency exchanger, has halted Ethereum (ETH) staking for US customers amid regulatory uncertainty. In a tweet posted on Friday, the company explained that the decision is in response to the lack of clarity regarding US regulation of staking activities. The move follows similar action from Coinbase, Gemini, and OKEx, which have all suspended ETH staking services for US users in recent months. Bitstamp clarified that the suspension only applies to its US customers, while customers in other countries will still have access to staking. The company also reassured users that their hosted ETH funds remain secured throughout the suspension period.
