The meeting between Kamala Harris and top donors of George Soros’ heirs at her private residence was revealed in records obtained by journalist Ken Klippenstein. Klippenstein wrote on Twitter that the donor meeting was held at the California senator’s house in Northern California on February 1. The meeting was attended by a number of high-profile individuals, including members of the Soros family, Democratic National Committee chair Tom Perez, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and California Governor Gavin Newsom. The donors discussed issues ranging from campaign finance reform to healthcare and climate change. The meeting was facilitated by Gayle McLaughlin, a former mayor of Richmond, California and supporter of Sanders’ presidential bid. Harris’ campaign has not commented on the meeting.
