‘Report card’ grading House Republicans on Ukraine aid shows stark split

A report card released by a Democratic-aligned group grades House Republicans on their stances regarding the withholding of military aid from Ukraine. Democrats and Republicans were graded based on whether they had expressed public statements of discontent with the aid being withheld, whether they had voted for impeachment or for a resolution to end President Donald Trump’s emergency declaration seeking to fund a border wall.

Overall, the grades showed a split among Republicans: the majority of them (60%) received a C or lower, with 16% receiving a D and 7% an F. Meanwhile, 40% of Republicans received an A or a B, with 21% receiving an A and 19% receiving a B. This shows that while a sizable portion of House Republicans criticized the withholding of the aid, many were still opposed to impeachment and the resolution to end the emergency declaration.
