California Governor Gavin Newsom has expressed that he does not believe age should be a factor in the 2020 election, and has taken the stance that former Vice President Joe Biden should be chosen as the Democratic nominee for president because of his experience in Washington.

He praised Biden for his intellect and knowledge of domestic and foreign policy issues, and for his ability to work with both sides of the political aisle. He went on to say that Biden is a “seasoned pro” and someone who understands the nuances of how government works, which is exactly the type of leader America needs.
