Detroit’s Big Three fight to dominate the next generation of the car industry

Detroit’s Big Three automakers (Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors) are all investing heavily in the next generation of the automotive industry. From electric and autonomous vehicles, to mobility services such as ride-sharing and ride-hailing, to connected cars and new business models, these companies are racing to innovate. Many of these investments are aimed at staying ahead of the competition, as well as meeting ever-changing customer demands. While they are focusing on different areas, each of the Big Three are attempting to set the standard for the new breed of cars that will dominate the coming decades.
