As government shutdown looms just days away, no agreement is in sight

With only four days until a potential shutdown of the US government, no agreement has been reached between Democrats and Republicans to avoid this outcome. Both parties have engaged in heated negotiations over budget proposals, and remain divided on a number of issues. President Trump has threatened to veto any budget proposal which does not include funding for a border wall, though many Democrats remain steadfastly opposed to this measure. If a budget agreement isn’t reached by December 21st, many government services may be affected.
