House Republicans allege that the Department of Justice (DOJ) ordered investigators to remove any reference to former Vice President Joe Biden from a foreign agent registration (FARA) related to his son, Hunter Biden.
The GOP lawmakers are citing a House Judiciary Committee report obtained by the Washington Examiner that references a warrant application that was reportedly submitted to the DOJ to investigate Chinese energy investor Tony Bobulinski’s links to Hunter Biden and his associates. According to the report, the DOJ reportedly instructed the investigators to edit the application and remove any reference to then-Vice President Joe Biden before it was submitted.
The DOJ has not yet commented on the allegations. House Republicans have called on the DOJ to conduct a full investigation into the matter.
