The Courageous Conservatives PAC, an organization announced last month to promote the 2024 Republican presidential candidacy of Sen. Tim Scott (SC), has pulled its support for ad campaigns in support of the senator.
According to reports, the PAC will focus on using its $1 million in funds for grassroots and field programs. This comes after lagging poll numbers for the South Carolina senator, who has not yet officially declared his candidacy.
Scott is the only potential Republican presidential candidate without a joint fundraising account with the Republican National Committee or a declared exploratory committee. He has also declined to set up an official campaign committee.
The Courageous Conservatives PAC was formed as part of a push to elevate Scott’s national profile and seek donations from conservative groups across the country. While Scott was initially seen as a potential front-runner in the 2024 primary field, polls have consistently put him behind former President Donald Trump and other competitors.
It is unclear at this time if Scott will continue to pursue his presidential aspirations, but the decision by Courageous Conservatives to shelve its ad campaigns indicates that the senator and his supporters recognize the difficult path ahead.
