In response to a post on Coca-Cola’s social media accounts that expressed support for the Black Lives Matter movement and its aims, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) called out the company for its failure to disavow a post by a separate organization that showed its support for Hamas and anti-Israel sentiment. In response, Coca-Cola quietly removed the language supporting BLM from its social media accounts. The company has yet to make any public statement about the controversy or the decision to remove the language.
