It is reported that T-Mobile, a major telephone services provider, was recently sued by a customer after one of their employees allegedly accessed and illegally distributed nude images from the customer’s device during a trade-in. The customer of T-Mobile reported that they had gone in to the store to trade in their device, and when the employee began processing the device, he accessed the customer’s files and stole personal images, then sent them to others.
T-Mobile is being sued for violating the customer’s privacy, and the lawsuit is seeking compensation for pain and suffering the customer experienced as a result of the employee’s actions. The lawsuit also argues that T-Mobile did not provide a secure transaction process, and failed to adequately vet and train the employee.
The case is still ongoing, and T-Mobile has not yet issued a statement in response.
