Joe Biden has ignored journalistic questions about his son Hunter’s refusal to cooperate with a congressional subpoena. Biden’s campaign did not respond when asked if the candidate supported his son’s decision, or whether he felt Hunter should cooperate with the subpoena. Hunter has said he will not comply with the subpoena issued by the Republican-controlled Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Biden’s campaign spokeswoman has instead pointed to Biden’s statements on the matter from earlier this year, in which he urged his son to comply with “all appropriate legal inquiries.”
