Biden said to be increasingly frustrated by dismal poll numbers

Joe Biden expressed his frustration about his dismal poll numbers at a fundraiser on Tuesday. Biden, who has flopped in recent electoral polls, told the crowd that recent poll results have been “hard to take.”

“I hold up pretty well among the people, the primary voters, but look at these polls that are out in the state. It’s just really hard to take,” Biden said. “But the fact of the matter is we’re still in this race. I’m not giving up.”

Biden’s comments come as his poll numbers have continued to decline as the Democratic primary season continues. He was once the favorite to win the party’s nomination, but he has since dropped far behind rivals Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

Meanwhile, Biden still leads other major Democratic contenders in the overall national polling. In the latest Fox News poll, Biden topped the Democratic field with 32% support. Nearly half of Democratic voters said they still view him favorably, according to the poll.

As Biden continues to face criticism over his lackluster poll numbers, he has tried to stay positive and rally supporters around his candidacy. “I’m thankful to still be in this race and I won’t stop fighting,” Biden said during the fundraiser.
