The latest Fox News poll shows Americans are deeply divided over the U.S.’s role in foreign conflicts. Just 34% of voters think the U.S. should be active in trying to solve these conflicts, while 52% say the U.S. should not involve itself.
The remaining 14% are not sure.
When it comes to specific foreign conflicts, voters are divided over whether the U.S. should get involved in Syria, where civil war has raged for seven years. Forty-three percent of voters are in favor of U.S. involvement, while the same percentage opposes it. The remaining 14% of voters are undecided.
When asked about the situation in Afghanistan, 43% of voters say the U.S. should remain involved, while 40% say the U.S. should withdraw its troops. Seventeen percent of voters are undecided.
When it comes to the situation in Iraq, 40% of voters indicate the U.S. should remain involved, while 39% feel the U.S. should withdraw its military presence. Twenty-one percent of voters don’t have an opinion.
