A new poll from Politico and Morning Consult shows that President Donald Trump continues to hold a huge lead over the rest of the Republican primary field for 2024. Trump garnered 57 percent of the vote when asked who they would choose to vote for in the 2024 GOP presidential primary.
Former U.N. Ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and former Florida Governor Ron DeSantis were tied for second place with 10 percent of the vote. Former Vice President Mike Pence and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo both received 3 percent of the vote.
The poll also found that 54 percent of Republicans want Trump to run again in 2024, and 68 percent of Republicans have a favorable opinion of Trump.
Trump still has time to decide if he will make another run for the White House in 2024, but regardless of his choice, it appears he will remain one of the most influential voices in the Republican party for the foreseeable future.
