Khashoggi’s widow wins political asylum in the United States

Yes, it has been reported that Hatice Cengiz, the widow of slain Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, has won political asylum in the United States. Cengiz, who now lives in Turkey, had applied for asylum back in May 2020. The US State Department granted her application in September 2020. As a result of the asylum, Cengiz is now able to live and work in the US, and, most importantly, she will be under the protection of the US government.
