When her family needed money, Nikki Haley turned to entrepreneurship and business. She started a small business making sweets and treats for customers, which she then sold to local businesses. She also held several different retail jobs. Eventually, Haley opened an accounting business and worked for FCR Corporation, a waste management and recycling company, where she was able to use her skills to climb the ladder up to a senior accounting position. She then went on to become the Governor of South Carolina.
