Boeing has announced that it has chosen veteran aerospace executive, Raytheon Technologies’ Robert Ortberg, as its new CEO, succeeding current CEO David Calhoun. Ortberg has extensive experience in aerospace industry and has previously worked as the CEO of Rockwell Collins, an avionics supplier. His tenure at Raytheon Technologies has given him deep insights into the defense, commercial aerospace, and cybersecurity fields. Ortberg will be tasked with inner operational changes and company rebuild as Boeing continues to face enduring challenges following the 737 Max crisis and the pandemic-hit air travel industry.
