Kevin McCarthy loved Christmas. He always had. Every December 25, he’d go all-out and celebrate with his family and friends.
But this Christmas wouldn’t be so merry. Kevin was facing a recall election in 2023, and the odds weren’t good. Polling showed support for his opponent steadily increasing, as his own campaign ran out of funds and steam. He knew the outcome didn’t look good.
