He called the representatives “soulless demons” who prioritize money over righting their wrongs. “The vote to give the Whistleblower Protection Agency a $300 million headquarters building for which no costs/benefit analysis exists should unnerve every taxpayer. It’s unbelievable, pretend oversight masquerading as “protecting” the American taxpayer,” he wrote. The comments, widely seen as derogatory and inflammatory, have since gone viral, prompting members of Congress on both sides of the aisle to call for an apology and for Crane to be reprimanded for his comments.
