The Chief Marketing Officer for Anheuser-Busch, Keith Levy, is leaving after a steep decline in Bud Light sales. Levy had been at the helm for six years and had been largely responsible for leading Bud Light through an unprecedented amount of growth in its core markets. However, in the past few months, Bud Light has seen a dramatic decrease in sales due to the emergence of craft beers and other competing brands.
The company is planning to launch a major brand campaign to try and reverse this trend. Anheuser-Busch has yet to make an official statement on Levy’s departure, but it is believed that the lead role in the new campaign will be filled with someone new. Levy’s replacement is yet to be named, but the company is expected to fill the role as soon as possible.
