Honda recalls almost 304,000 Accords and HR-Vs over seat belt defect

Honda has recalled almost 304,000 Accord and HR-V vehicles due to a defect in the front seat belts. This could lead to the belt becoming detached from the seltbelt anchorage point and increase the risk of injury in a crash. The Vehicles in question were manufactured between February 2016 and May 2018.

Honda owners can check if their vehicle is part of this recall by visiting their website or calling their customer service line. Owners will be asked to review a Service Bulletin from Honda to identify the manufacturing dates of the vehicles. They will also have to bring the vehicles in to a dealership to have the seat belt assemblies inspected and possibly replaced.
